Nautical Astronomy (Celestial Navigation, Astronavigation)

This application allows users to engage in traditional astronomical navigation techniques using a sextant to obtain celestial positions from the Sun or the North Star. The app simplifies the calculation process, enabling users to focus on honing their navigation skills.

Help Section

1. Tap on Date, Time, DR, Hs, and sight parameters to enter the relevant data.
2. Select the desired calculation from the drop-down menu.
3. Press [Calculate] to generate results.

[+]: Resets the form for new data entry.

Examples

• Loads data for selected examples.
• Access information in the About section.

Location Settings

This feature allows users to set their position for training purposes through three methods: using Google Maps, GNSS fix, or an input dialog box. Note that Location App permissions must be granted.

• Activate GPS for automatic location detection.
• The My Location button is available on Google Maps to save your last position automatically.
• Storage App permission must also be granted for data retention.
